Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is a training agreement between a person who wants to learn a skill and an employer who needs a skilled worker.
To become a certified tradesperson requires a combination of on-the-job and in-school training. We grow our talent by proudly participating in these apprenticeship programs:
  • Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP)
  • WEST of Windsor
  • Canadian Tooling & Machining Association (CTMA)
  • St. Clair College
CenterLine OYAP Progarm
Our involvement in these programs has led to our offerings of full apprenticeships in:
  • Industrial Mechanic Millwright
  • General Machinist
  • Industrial Electrician

Currently, we have 42 apprentices registered in a full apprenticeship who are attending St. Clair College.

Each year, CenterLine posts internally and externally for additional apprenticeship placements – external postings can be found on our Careers page. Secondary school students interested in the OYAP program, who are in Grade 11 at a minimum, can register through their high school.

Individuals interested in a pre-apprentice program need to register through St. Clair College’s Apprenticeship Programs or WEST of Windsor’s Apprenticeship Program. CenterLine provides work placement periods from both of these programs, working with our dedicated mentors who look forward to having them join us as full-time employees.
